MACKAM® 2800 Powder is an 85% powdered form of high-purity Cocamidopropyl Betaine, with a ‘stripped’ alkyl distribution. MACKAM® 2800 Powder is compatible with anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants, and exhibits high foaming even in high electrolyte solutions. This product offers exceptionally low and stable color and low residual odor. When compared to standard grades of cocamidopropyl betaine, MACKAM® 2800 Powder exhibits better flash foam and viscosity-building characteristics with lauryl sulfates, lauryl ether sulfates, and alpha-olefin sulfates in anionic-based systems. It is excellent for use in bath & shampoo bars due to its mildness, lime soap dispersing properties, and in liquids for its viscosity-building characteristics. MACKAM® 2800 Powder can also be used in oral products such as toothpaste and mouthwash and is also ideal in applications where very low water content is required, for example in formulations for water-soluble sachets.
